Der internationale Technologie-Konzern ANDRITZ hat einen Vertrag über den Erwerb der RITZ Pumpenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG mit Sitz in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Deutschland, einschließlich diverser Beteiligungen unterzeichnet. Mit ca. 280 Mitarbeitern erzielt das erworbene Unternehmen einen Jahresumsatz von rd. 40 MEUR. Über den Kaufpreis wurde Stillschweigen vereinbart; der Kauf tritt nach Zustimmung der relevanten Gremien voraussichtlich im 4. Quartal 2010 in Kraft.

Mit der Akquisition von RITZ stärkt und ergänzt ANDRITZ sein Produktangebot im Bereich Pumpen. Die von RITZ gefertigten Pumpen werden v. a. in den Bereichen Wasserversorgung, Bergbau, Off-Shore und Unterwasser (Sub-Sea) eingesetzt.
