ANDRITZ Maerz to supply anode furnaces and Peirce-Smith converters for First Quantum's copper smelter, Zambia
The scope of supply includes the latest ANDRITZ Maerz combustion and refining systems, slag settling tanks, drive units and control system, as well as the steel structures for the furnaces and converters. With the furnaces and converters, more than 300,000 t of anode copper can be produced annually from copper matte.
