Amaryllo opens subsidiary in Taiwan
From these new offices in Taichung - in the middle of Taiwan, the company can provide better and localized support to Amaryllo’s OEM firmware customers. These customers, mainly the larger electronics module manufacturers, integrate the Amaryllo firmware into their hardware solutions and need support in hardware architecture design and training to provide first line support to their customers.
A second task for the Taiwan operations will be the co-ordination of shipping and logistics for manufactured goods towards Europe and provide efficient local purchasing.
Amaryllo is a Dutch manufacturer of GPS and Navigation products. The company was founded at the end of 2005 and has introduced several new products successfully in the European Markets. The product portfolio contains accessories like GPS receivers for navigation, but also GPS ports devices and complete portable navigation systems for in the car. Besides these products, Amaryllo is active in the OEM markets, where the Amaryllo TMC technology and GPS firmware is used by several partners.
Manufacturing and assembly of the Amaryllo products is done in Taiwan. The product Management, marketing and much R&D are done in Europe. Technology development in Amaryllo targets mainly at embedded software and firmware development for GPS and Navigation devices. One of the major developments is the development of protocols and firmware to integrate traffic information (TMC) in Navigation products.
