Dillinger expands E-Service with customer app
While customers can find and download information about their orders in Dillinger's EService area, including current order status, certificates, invoices, delivery history or tools for plate processing, the app now offers even more practical services: a plate can be identified quickly and reliably as Dillinger heavy plate by using a smartphone or tablet to scan its barcode or by manually entering the rolled plate number.
“Customers can find all certificate information and test results for ‘their’ plate here. Based on this, they can obtain information on processing with just one more click, including the optimum cooling time during welding or the recommended preheating temperature during flame cutting,” said Dr. Günter Luxenburger, member of the Dillinger Board of Management for Sales, discussing the app which was recently presented at bauma in Munich. “As a result, it offers customers true additional value. At the same time, the app is a good example of our activities in the areas of e-commerce and digitalization of sales channels, as well as of the digital transformation throughout the entire company.”
Thanks to modern, progressive web app technology, the app – which is already being used by some customers and has generated positive feedback – does not have to be downloaded to be used. The modular structure allows the app to be continuously adapted to changing requirements through additional, customer-focused developments.
