Ypsomed and Adval Tech agree a strategic cooperation in moldmaking
Injection molds and the associated technology are of central importance for the efficient, high-quality manufacture of Ypsomed's highprecision plastic components. With the industrialization of new products in mind Ypsomed has decided to enter into strategic cooperation with the Adval Tech Group, a global leader in injection molding technology. Ypsomed CEO Richard Fritschi: «Ypsomed expects this strategic cooperation to result in consistently high quality and precision of plastic components produced with the molds, reduced lead times and more extensive standardization of the molds used.»
The Adval Tech Group has recently announced its intention to adopt a more global focus and concentrate its attention on selected markets. The goal is to enter into long-term strategic partnerships with its main customers. The medical technology and pharmaceutical markets play a major role in these endeavors. Adval Tech CEO Jean-Claude Philipona: «This cooperation with Ypsomed fits ideally into our strategic focus.
