AEC Offers New MDB Dryer

AEC will participate in CHINAPLAS 2013, the 27th International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries, which will be held on May 20-23, 2013 at China Import & Export Fair Complex, Pazhou, Guangzhou, PR China.

AEC announces the new MDB series dryers and is targeted at helping Plastics processors who are facing the ever- increasing challenges of improving part quality and operational efficiency in a challenging global economy.

With processing rates between 50-450 lb/hr (22-225kg/hr) the dual blower, desiccant bed system with electric bed switching valve technology provides an easy to operate platform that can expand and control up to three drying hopper(s) with a modular drying system platform. An optional desiccant wheel system with pre-cooler (MDW) can be added as a customer preference. This dryer can be sold as a stand-alone unit if the drying hopper is mounted directly on the machine or as a cart system with or without conveying options to service several process machines. The conveying cart packages can be configured in closed loop or purge valve configurations.

The MDB drying system has been designed around improved serviceability and increased energy efficiency to provide a Global product solution to our customer base. Built in Ethernet capability allows remote service capability functions not previously available with other control platforms.

This DryPro control platform utilizes a 6" class color touch screen to select a pull down menu with pre-loaded drying parameters. Energy features include remote process heaters with temperature setback to minimize heat loss and improve system efficiency.

Optional heat recovery system on the MDB dryer recovers waste heat to improve overall efficiency of the drying process. An optional variable speed blower VAV system is also available that will be able to control airflow and protect material in the process while conserving energy in the overall system.
