ADB launches LIBERTY and FREEDOM
A new generation of lighting controllers optimised for theatre applications(PresseBox) (Zaventem, Belgium, )
LIBERTY is the spot-on solution for space-challenging environments and any cost-conscious venue seeking a fully integrated solution to control conventional and moving lights as well as LED sources and other modern equipment in a compact and portable package with the capacity of much larger and more expensive lighting consoles.
FREEDOM offers the ideal solution when more multi-parameter instruments need to be controlled and fast access is required. The desk allows users to control large quantities of multiple LED fittings, intelligent lights or media servers as well as standard generic dimming systems. Features includes four additional rotary wheels with pushbutton function, a set of special keys to manipulate moving lights, and a super smooth, large size trackball for precision positioning control.
In addition FREEDOM features four physical DMX outputs and one physical DMX512 input on board, with 5-pole standard XLR connection sockets should an Ethernet network be unavailable.
All instruments and devices are programmed through the intuitive user interface that incorporates custom designed encoder wheels, multiple playback stacks, user definable keys and an integrated 10 inch touch screen as well as an optional large format external touch screen.
This advanced graphical user interface enables this desk to meet the sophisticated needs of lighting professionals highly intuitively. For an operator it will also be easy to move from a LIBERTY console to other members of the HATHOR software-powered control desk family. HATHOR software itself has been developed with the requirements of modern lighting design trends and has been extensively road-tested over an extended period of time.
The heart of the unit is a dual core processor with multiple graphical screens, running under the newest embedded version of Windows OS. This design offers unrivalled performance and reliability, as well as the flexibility to incorporate software drivers for the latest peripheral devices. The operator can freely configure the screen layout and tailor the user interface to suit personal needs and preferences.
LIBERTY control desks are available each in six basic configurations controlling channel numbering from 120 to 1024 multi-parameter lighting instruments and can address up to 8,192 parameters via suitable networks. Synchronised backup is optionally available. LIBERTY consoles perform as standalone or as a client consoles in an extended networked system. Networked LIBERTY desks will support multi-user / multi-operator setups with optional software packages and hence works perfectly together with other control desks running HATHOR based software.
