AAEON's Awarding Winning BOXER-6403 to Maximize Performance-Per-Area

AAEON®, a major developer of industrial computing solutions, launches the award winning BOXER-6403 embedded box PC, one of the most compact embedded box PC on the market.

By replacing the traditional heat sink in favor of a full aluminum enclosure for cooling, the box PC manages to achieve the dimensions of 158mm x 95mm x 20mm, only slightly larger than a 5.5-inch phablet.

Though smaller than conventional box PCs, it delivers the same level of performance as its larger counterparts in about 1/10 of the room, making the BOXER-6403 ideal for applications in confined spaces, such as on production lines or at the back of digital signage monitors or video walls. In addition, COM and digital I/O ports, I/Os not commonly found in embedded box PCs of this size, are also incorporated.

The device is supported with 2 years product warranty and 5 years of parts availability. Supported OS include Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1, Windows Embedded 7, Windows Embedded 8/8.1, and Linux Fedora Kernel 2.6.3.

For its compact size and high usability, the device was awarded the 23rd Taiwan Excellence Awards, a symbol of excellence and quality for products that bear the "Made in Taiwan" label.

"Size and performance are always proportional, that's how people perceive embedded PCs," said Ken Pan, Product Manager of AAEON's Panel Appliance and Automation Division."The BOXER-6403 will be changing this perception. And winning the Taiwan Excellence Awards shows us that this goal might have been accomplished".
