UNGRICHT supplies current largest NW engraved calender roller > 7000 mm roller surface width
Mönchengladbach, (PresseBox) -
UNGRICHT has now supplied the world’s current largest engraved calender roller for the nonwovens industry. According to a management statement, the roller is larger than seven metres (the roller can be seen in the background in the photograph during intermediate grinding in the grinding machine.)Expanding on this, Mr von Wirth told us that these dimensions represented only the beginning from today’s point of view. Various customers are also considering venturing into these dimensions of spunmelt systems. We are sure that this development will continue.
UNGRICHT also reports on the successful integration of a new technology for engraving calender rollers as well as a new service, cleaning of engraved calender rollers; a service that is carried out particularly within the scope of repairs and grinding of engraved calender rollers. In addition, a "radiation treatment" to improve the release properties of engraved calender rollers, about which there are no further details, has been introduced. The first rollers have been supplied and initial feedback is looking very positive. If this development takes off, it will also allow other markets (for example, the tissue industry) to benefit from this new technology.

Die Erlösmodelle auf die Anforderungen des IoT anzupassen, ist weniger eine technische als eine kulturelle Herausforderung.
