WEMAG erweitert Speicherportfolio und nimmt erste Batteriespeicherstation in Betrieb

Seit 2014 betreibt die WEMAG in Schwerin einen Lithium-Ionen-Batteriespeicher, dessen Leistung im Juni 2017 von fünf auf zehn Megawatt verdoppelt wurde. Dieser Speicher bekommt nun Nachwuchs. Mit einer Kapazität von 0,5 bis 1,0 Megawattstunden hat die WEMAG einen kleinen Batteriespeicher in einer Betonraumzelle entwickelt, der im ländlichen Raum Einsatz findet und künftig einen Beitrag zur Verfügbarkeit und Stabilität von öffentlichen Stromnetzen leistet. Weitere Betonspeicherstationen im Netzgebiet der WEMAG befinden sich in der Planung.

Am Montag, den 17. September 2018, werden um 11 Uhr Energieminister Christian Pegel und der WEMAG-Vorstand mit Thomas Murche in Neustadt-Glewe, Laascher Straße 30a die erste Batteriespeicherstation in Betrieb nehmen. Dazu möchten wir Sie herzlich einladen.
