New Board of Directors for Micronas
(PresseBox) Zurich, 27.11.2009,
At the extraordinary Shareholders' Meeting of Micronas Semiconductor Holding AG (SIX Swiss Exchange: MASN) on November 27, shareholders approved the Board of Directors' proposals and elected four new members to the Board. The new Chairman of the Board is Heinrich W. Kreutzer.
74 shareholders, together with voting proxies, represented 12.3 percent of the share capital at the meeting. Klaus Blickle, Lucas A. Grolimund, Dieter G. Seipler and Stefan Wolf were elected by a large majority to serve as new members of the Board of Directors for a term lasting until the next ordinary Shareholders' Meeting on March 26, 2010.
At its constituting meeting after the Shareholders' Meeting, the Board of Directors elected Heinrich W. Kreutzer as its new Chairman. The members of the Nomination and Compensation Committee are Dieter G. Seipler (Chair) and Klaus Blickle. The Risk and Audit Committee comprises Lucas A. Grolimund (Chair) and Stefan Wolf.
The new Board of Directors also decided to appoint Günter Hoppe as the new CFO of Micronas Group from December 1, 2009. Günter Hoppe replaces Manfred Häner. CEO designate Matthias Bopp will take up his post on February 1, 2010 at the latest.
Chairman of the Board of Directors Heinrich W. Kreutzer would like to thank departing Board members Thomas Lustenberger, Christoph Brand, Rudolf W. Hug and Harald Stanzer, as well as departing CFO Manfred Häner, for having "served Micronas for many years, refocused its strategy in very difficult economic times and appointed new management to create a platform for the Company's further development".
