Der Automobilzulieferer ZF Friedrichshafen hat den Verkauf des Geschäftsfelds Befestigungssysteme & Komponenten für rund 450 Millionen US-Dollar an den US-Mischkonzern Illinois Tool Works Inc. (ITW) abgeschlossen. Das Geschäftsfeld war bislang Teil der Division Aktive & Passive Sicherheitstechnik (ZF TRW) der ZF Friedrichshafen AG.

„Wir sind froh, den Verkauf unseres Geschäftsfelds Befestigungssysteme & Komponenten abgeschlossen zu haben, und sind zuversichtlich, dass ITW mit seiner beachtlichen Erfahrung auf diesem Gebiet den Geschäftsbereich hervorragend leiten wird“, sagt Franz Kleiner, CEO von ZF TRW und ZF-Vorstandsmitglied. „Wir wollen uns bei den Mitarbeitern für ihr langjähriges Engagement bedanken und wünschen ihnen alles Gute bei ITW.“
