White Sky iHouse unveiled

First Zero-Energy and Plus-Energy houses for KSA & UAE

Tobias Lindemann, Architect and White Sky Group CEO, presented first design schemes of the White Sky iHouse in Dubai and Riyadh. The White Sky iHouse intends to fundamentally change the future residental market. First Zero-Energy and Plus- Energy houses will be introduced to the GCC market.

Combined with brand environments and latest technologies of renown German industry players and suppliers, the White Sky iHouse integrates holistic planning with full and operating electromobility. The White Sky iHouse plans to start with limited editions to test the market demand and will gradually upgrade to offer a broader selection of pre-configurated space frames and modules.

The start-up idea behind the White Sky iHouse responds to the rising demand of building owners to buy and build energy-efficient houses. The quality of the White Sky iHouse should be equivalent to products of prominent German car makers, utilizing materials and energy concepts surpassing expectations.

Developing next generation design schemes and concepts in 2013, the White Sky iHouse will offer 300 sqm. spacious living area and garage modules for the needed number of electro cars for each household. The concept integrates all kinds of mobility, even gyro-copters. The White Sky iHouse design is developed for the specific temperature and mechanical loads of the GCC climate.

White Sky Group AD&D Dubai, represented by Architect and Managing Director Florian Oettl, plans a software application to allow configurating your own iHouse with brand environments and extras for technical devices, interiors as well as colors and lighting. An integrated panoramic roof as well as the pre-fabricated glass surfaces and carbon facade modules will allow maximum flexibility. The new generation of iHouses is designed in Bad Oeynhausen, Munich and Dubai. For the White Sky iHouse project, leading German industry players and brands joined the development team. The White Sky iHouse targets LEED Gold and Platinum.


White Sky Group is an award-winning venture of German design and technology excellence. "Innovationskraft by Nature" describes Lindemann's design process behind groundbreaking innovations. The projects range from urban planning, master planning to architecture and design of highrise towers, hotels, villas, hospitals and malls. Germany based White Sky Group | Gewers & Pudewill currently works on the development and master planning of a 91ha project in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. White Sky Group | AD&D Dubai was established end of 2012.

Tobias Lindemann is an architect, engineer and entrepreneur. With award-winning ventures of design and technology excellence, he is defining the DNA of the future of architecture and planning with focus on greentech developments, new technologies and urban strategies. Dipl.-Ing. Tobias Lindemann, MBA, studied and researched at TU Berlin, TU Munich, UC Berkeley and HHL Leipzig. He currently runs offices in Bad Oeynhausen, Cologne, Munich and a shareholding office in Berlin (White Sky Group - Gewers & Pudewill GmbH).

Dipl.-Ing. Florian Oettl holds a honorable diploma from TU Berlin and a master degree in architecture from Southern California Institute of Architecture Los Angeles. Florian Oettl is a licensed architect in Germany and a member of the Society of Engineers in Dubai. Working in previous employments, his projects won international competitions, best built office building in the Middle East Architects Awards 2010, best future residential project at Abu Dhabi Cityscape 2011. He was awarded in the "Young Architect of the Year" category of The Middle East Architects Awards 2011.
