Due to its size, its development during the past years and the foreseen growth, Brazil is one of the economically most attractive countries on the American continent. From now on, the TGW Logistics Group will actively work on the market - together with the locally established company CSI. "With our involvement in Brazil we continue our successful expansion strategy and focus on a combination of local know-how by a strong team and the support of the worldwide TGW group", explains Georg Kirchmayr, president of the TGW Logistics Group.
CSI as strong partner for TGW
CSI was founded in 2008 by Fábio Malvesi together with some very experienced material handling experts. The company quickly succeeded in becoming a true systems integrator on the Brazilian market, having already more than 50 employees today. CSI generated revenues of 30 million Brazilian real (about 12.5 million EUR / 16.3 million USD) in 2011, which makes the company one of the top 5 players in Brazil. The company is based in São Paulo, Brazil's largest city, where it operates a production site for conveyor equipment.
Strengthening the market presence in Brazil
"With joined forces, we will expand our presence in the Brazilian market", says Georg Kirchmayr. The new name of the company 'TGW - CSI Indústria e Comércio de Equipamentos Industriais Ltda' and the scheduled opening of regional sales offices in South America, emphasise this undertaking. Moreover, the headquarters in São Paulo will be enlarged to handle the growing business. The mutually agreed target is to achieve a significant higher revenue volume during the next five years and with this, to strengthen TGW-CSI's position in Brazil's materials handling industry.
