Das neue ½“-Mikrofon Modell 378A06 von PCB Piezotronics, Inc. mit Freifeld-Charakteristik misst Amplituden >146 dB im Frequenzbereich 3 Hz bis 40 kHz. Die vorpolarisierte Mikrofonkapsel 377A06 hat eine Empfindlichkeit von 12,6 mV/Pa, das Eigenrauschen in Kombination mit dem ICP®-Vorverstärker 426E01 beträgt 24 dB.

Typische Anwendungen für das Mikrofon sind Messungen im Bereich der Umweltüberwachung, Schallknall-Messungen oder Prüfungen an Signalhörnern.
