S&T Slovakia implements mySAP All-in-One for TUBAU

Outsourcing of the ERP system is also awarded to S&T

(PresseBox) (Vienna, )
When choosing to implement a new corporate information system, optimization of business processes was one of the main objectives of TUBAU - a Slovakian construction company. The company decided on mySAP All-in-One and entrusted S&T Slovakia with the implementation. The project was implemented within all the agreed time and quality parameters and the resulting customer satisfaction has led to an outsourcing contract also being awarded to S&T.

TUBAU a.s. is a Žilina-based construction company which was established as a joint venture between MARTI TunnelBau AG Switzerland and DANICON a.s. Slovensko and which consists of three business divisions. In addition to the core business of underground construction, such as road tunnels, underground water plant facilities and water feeders for large-scale underground constructions, the company also carries out foundation construction using drilled large-diameter piles and micropiles. Further elements of the TUBAU portfolio include construction of underground sealing walls for foundation pit excavation and securing of slopes. Its newest division focuses on sewerage and water supply systems. The company has a total of 500 employees.

mySAP All-in-One

TUBAU selected a strong partner to implement the mySAP All-in-One based ERP system - S&T Slovakia. The decision was made on the basis of S&T's experience with SAP solutions, as well as their references and the quality of consulting services provided. mySAP All-in-One is a solution that can be tailored to meet customer needs and requirements. The project itself consisted of implementing the following mySAP All-in-One version ERP 2005 ECC 6.0 modules: base, finance, logistics and work-flow. The next stage of the project envisages expansion of the information system to cover budgeting.

The main advantages of introducing ERP in TUBAU are:

- improvement of business processes and online information availability
- operative and financial evaluation of individual projects and contracts
- logistics have become more precise and simple with regard to production requirements
- management of key workflow processes

The implementation of mySAP All-in-One was completed very quickly - it took just three months. A classic implementation was carried out for TUBAU (e.g. SAP Business Suite) in view of the requested complex analysis of corporate requirements and the subsequent system setup covering the key business processes, in particular in the area of logistics. "After deploying mySAP All-in-One, the quality of our business processes rose significantly, as did the quality and preciseness of the information used for decision-making and operative and financial evaluation of individual projects and contracts," says Vierka Palanová, Financial Director TUBAU a.s. "With regard to production, our logistics processes have become much more transparent and efficient."

Outsourcing

The quality of work provided by S&T Slovakia's experts, overall satisfaction with the progression of the project and the successful commissioning of the system impressed the management of TUBAU and led to the signing of a contract for outsourcing the corporate system management. TUBAU thus became yet another company to entrust its ERP system to S&T Slovakia. TUBAU can now fully focus on its core business and enjoy all the benefits offered by the outsourcing model: besides S&T managing the infrastructure on which the system is running, the operating system, the databases and mySAP All-in-One, as well as performing maintenance on individual modules, TUBAU will also automatically receive all patches, updates and any necessary development of special tools for the system environment. "We are very pleased about projects such as the one with TUBAU. Customer satisfaction is paramount for us and their decision to use our outsourcing services shows that we do our job well and that we have their full trust," says Christian Rosner, CEO S&T.

Introduction of the Euro

In conjunction with the switch to the euro in Slovakia on January 1, 2009, it was necessary to identify, plan and implement all necessary IT related changes at TUBAU. Throughout 2008, S&T Slovakia has been providing full support to TUBAU with regard to the introduction of the euro, based on a project plan agreed in advance, so that on January 1, 2009 the company could start using the new currency without any problems.
