General Availability of tel-domains opens at 15:00 GMT on 24 March 2009. General Availability registrations will carry a one-year minimum term. The price for registration of a tel-domain during the Open Registration Period will be reduced compared to the price during Premium Landrush Period and Sunrise Period.


Since February 3rd 2009, .tel domains are available to the general public on a first-come, first-served basis. Many experts believe, that the .tel is perhaps the biggest innovation since the launch of .com.
