Rapid-I revolutionises business intelligence processes with RapidMiner 5.0!

New version of solution offers optimised user interface, simplified use, reliable result forecasts as well as speedy error prevention

(PresseBox) (Dortmund, )
Rapid-I, a leading provider of open source solutions for predictive analytics, data mining and text mining, is launching RapidMiner 5.0: The new version allows enterprises to map and manage the entire business intelligence process chain from analytical ETL, data mining and predictive reporting with a single solution. The fully revised user interface offers a significantly simplified operation, meaning that even newcomers to analysis can be given vital support with tasks that come up frequently.

The holistic approach as well as the open source business model of RapidMiner enables enterprises from any industry to make the most of business data in a very simple and cost-effective manner. RapidMiner can be used as a stand-alone application for data analysis as well as a data mining engine for integration into enterprises’ own products.

The newest version, RapidMiner 5.0, increases the support of professional analysts and makes using data mining easier at the same time, meaning that even less-experienced users can perform professional data analysis.

“With its cost-efficiency and simple operation, RapidMiner has positioned itself as the number 1 for process-based data analyses. For the third year in a row, our software has been distinguished in the international KDnuggets study as being the most-used open source data mining solution”, explains Dr. Ingo Mierswa, CEO of Rapid-I. “The new on-the-fly error recognition and quick fixes make data mining child’s play, now more than ever.“

RapidMiner 5.0 includes the following features:
* New flow design - intuitive process design with few clicks
* On-the-fly error recognition - makes analyses possible without trial and error, thus saving time
* Quick fixes – provide automatic problem solutions
* Meta data propagation – view of results already during process design

A special advantage of the new version is that the meta data is continuously analysed, i.e. it is evaluated on a test basis as early as during the design of an analysis process, meaning forecasts can be made at any time as to the result to be expected. This demo mode also makes the early recognition and rectification of problems possible. As soon as RapidMiner 5.0 recognises a suspicious event, an appropriate alert is given via the newly designed user interface and so-called quick fixes show an approach for solution with just a single click.

As well as RapidMiner, Rapid-I is launching the new business analytics server RapidAnalytics as a key product for all business-critical data analysis tasks. A team of analysts exchange shared data and analysis processes with one another directly over this server. Data integration is included in the reporting process with the data mining core, thus making predictive reporting possible.
