Pacelab CI OPS ist eine gemeinsame Entwicklung von Lufthansa CityLine und dem auf Luftfahrtanwendungen spezialisierten Berliner Unternehmen PACE. Haupteinsatzgebiet der Software ist das Cockpit: Installiert auf einem Electronic Flight Bag hilft Pacelab CI OPS den Piloten, in jeder neuen Flugsituation die jeweils kosteneffizienteste Höhe und Geschwindigkeit zu bestimmen und damit erhebliche Kosten- und Treibstoffeinsparungen zu erzielen.
Bei Lufthansa CityLine gehört Pacelab CI OPS seit längerem zur Standardausstattung ihrer Bombardier- und Embraer-Regionaljets. Eine schrittweise Einführung der Software bei anderen Mitgliedern des Lufthansa Regionalverbundes, darunter Eurowings, Augsburg Airways und Air Dolomiti, ist bereits angelaufen.
Flugkapitän Alexander Holhut, Manager Operational Services Cockpit bei Lufthansa CityLine, erklärt die Philosophie: "Erfolgreiches Effizienzmanagement ist das Ergebnis vieler kleiner Schritte in eine klar definierte Richtung. Unser Ziel ist es, jeden einzelnen Aspekt unseres Flugbetriebs zu optimieren, und aufgabenspezifische Tools wie Pacelab CI OPS spielen dabei eine wichtige Rolle."
