Ursache des Ausfalls [http://techcrunch.com/... waren außerplanmäßige Änderungen an einem Router bei WordPress.com, dem Host der Website. Matt Mullenweg, einer der Gründer von WordPress, wertete die 110minütigen Störung als die schlimmste der letzten vier Jahre. 'Hoffentlich dauert es länger als vier Jahre bevor ein derartiges Problem erneut auftritt.'

Änderungen an der Netzwerk-Konfiguration müssen nicht zum Problem werden.
