Bei MS SCCM-Anwendern ist das rheinländische Systemhaus neo42 bekannt für das neo42 Paketdepot (S), das fertige Qualitäts-Softwarepakete für MS SCCM zur Verfügung stellt. Die im Paketdepot enthaltene Toolbox (S) bietet mit ihren cleveren Tools nützliche Hilfestellungen für die tägliche Arbeit mit SCCM.

Ab sofort erhalten Paketdepot (S)-Kunden einen weiteren, großen Mehrwert, der zudem kostenfrei im Service enthalten ist: Die Toolbox (S) beinhaltet jetzt ein neues Werkzeug, den neo42 Package Wizard. Dieser Wizard stellt Anwendern eine vollständige Paketierumgebung zur Verfügung, mit der sie von allen gängigen Herstellersetups zügig und elegant Pakete erstellen können.

Der neo42 Package Wizard bietet unter anderem:

  • automatische Erkennung des Herstellersetups (Inno Setup, Nullsoft, Installshield etc.)
  • Optionen, ob das Paket nur x86, nur x64, oder beide Architekturen beinhalten soll
  • optionaler Benutzerteil, um Einstellungen in allen Benutzerprofilen vorzunehmen (Roaming Profiles, Terminalserver)
  • ausführliche Dokumentation der zugrunde liegenden Funktionslibrary
Entsprechend den Paketen des neo42 Paketdepot (S) basieren die mit dem Package Wizard erstellten Paketscripte auf den Funktionen einer von neo42 entwickelten deploymentspezifischen Funktionslibrary, die hinsichtlich der Umsetzung von Einstellungen auf den Zielmaschinen keine Wünsche offen lässt. Weitere Paketierungswerkzeuge werden somit nicht mehr benötigt.
