The international engineering and construction company M+W Group (until 2009: M+W Zander) has signed a letter of intent for design and construction of a biotechnology plant complex in the Siberian town of Omsk. This was announced at the German-Russian raw materials forum taking place in Moscow. Contracting partner of M+W Group are the governor of Omsk, Mr. Leonid K. Polezhaev and the Titan Group of Companies ("Titan") in Omsk as the investor. Titan operates in the chemicals, metallurgy and agroindustry sectors and ranks among Russia's hundred largest private companies.
