MetalMaster 2.0 - Cutting technology in a compact package

Powerful performance at a low price

(PresseBox) (Groß-Umstadt, )
Highest performance capability in a small space – sounds impossible for a cutting machine? The new MetalMaster 2.0 from Messer Cutting Systems GmbH in Groß-Umstadt offers exactly that and much, much more: and on top of all that the machine is especially economical and combines the advantages of plasma and oxyfuel cutting. As MetalMaster 2.0 presents Messer quality with great value for money, it opens up the door to high quality metal processing for numerous companies.

Cutting plates and bringing them into the required shape is an everyday task in many branches of industry. In such a competitive market to give economic advantages for oneself and the customer is most valuable. If the cutting machine is then also working in your own factory then a time advantage is also ensured. “However, what often acts as a disincentive for investment: most machines take up a lot of space in the production hall. We have reengineered our classic MetalMaster as a compact, but no less productive, alternative and extended it with useful functions”, so says Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Christian Jung, CEO Messer Cutting Systems Europe.

Compact Performer

About 30 square meters area – that is all it needs to process plates up to 3,0 x1,5 m economically using plasma or oxyfuel technology in your own workshop. The machine is, however, not just compact but also quickly and easily installed and ready to use.

Through the combination of oxyfuel and plasma cutting processes the MetalMaster 2.0 covers a wide spectrum of materials to be processed and tasks. The torches can move over the plate at up to 35 metres per minute with the twin-sided high powered drives – precision guiding systems ensure the highest accuracy even over long production times. high cutting speeds are possible depending upon the material and process.

The torch lifter SmartLifter SL100 helps to reduce cycle times with its fast reaction times – it requires barely half a second for the full vertical stroke. “Our engineers have also worked on savings with the plasma process, reducing times by as much as five seconds per start. To protect the torch against damage from tilted parts, we have integrated a magnetic torch holder as collision protection”, explains Christian Jung.

The fume extraction, integrated into the table, with fan/filter system meets all environmental requirements of course, to reduce dust and smoke. Specially designed slag containers significantly simplify the cleaning of the table.

Click, click, click – and off you go

With the user friendly touch-screen control Global Control 2.0, the user needs only three clicks from loading the part program to the first cut. The modern, Windows® based operating system is the basis here for future-proof fun on the control. With the touch screen all parameters can be input in the shortest time, or simply uploaded. Gas pressures, plasma current even the wear of consumables can be read off the TFT monitor. As the control console is free standing, the electronics are protected from heat and dust and easily accessible for the operator.

Should it anyway “freeze” then help for continued smooth production flow must be able to be reached fast. For this QR codes and the telephone numbers can be found on the console which connect the user with the nearest Messer support network if required

Attractive in Price and Performance

“Each one of our products stands for the highest reliability and best performance. As the new MetalMaster 2.0 is no exception to this rule, so the user gets 100 percent Messer quality ‘Made in Germany’ with an attractive price-performance ratio”, sums up Christian Jung.
