Enhancing Safety Through a Strategic Partnership

(PresseBox) (Ergersheim, )
This week, at the Bauma 2016 Trade Show, Preco Electrionics and MEKRAtronics (a business division of MEKRA Lang) announced a strategic partnership to deliver high quality safety technology solutions to the European market. The two companies share a vision of providing heavy duty equipment industries safety products that are robust, reliable and have a proven safety record. More than that, this partnership aims to provide their customers the technology that will keep their employees and the people and property around heavy duty machinery safe and free from harm.

“Providing our customers safety technology products that work in all environments with the highest levels of reliability is the reason that we have become the world leader in heavy duty machinery object detection,” said Matt Wood, VP of Global Sales at Preco. “We take that responsibility very seriously, because it is one of the reasons that workers are able to go home safely to their families each night. We place the value of human safety above all else when designing the best possible safety technology products.”

When combined with MEKRAtronics industry leading vision systems, Preco’s object detection radars create an ‘active’ warning system - the vehicle operator can focus on the job at hand until he or she hears an audible alert. They can then use the camera/monitor systems to validate the detection. “The key is to enable operators to do their jobs as safely as possible, while being able to concentrate of the requirements of their task,” said Bastian Dorsch, head of sales at MEKRAtronics. “The goal is to mitigate risk and decrease the amount of worksite accidents. We are extremely proud to be enhancing safety for the people who work with our technology.”

With zero reported fatalities when Preco’s object detection systems have been installed over the past 16 years of production, the positive effect on countless lives is immeasurable. As companies continue to recognize the positive benefits of investing in this type of technology, more accidents will be avoided and lives saved, which continues to drive innovation at companies like MEKRAtronics and Preco Electronics.
