Long-term relationships for mutual success

toolcraft signs partnership agreement with Indonesia

(PresseBox) (Georgensgmünd, )
In the age of globalisation, business relationships are no longer solely domestic in nature: Digitalisation is even capable of bringing entire continents together. As demonstrated by the Middle Franconian company's latest partnership agreement with Indonesia, toolcraft is also active internationally. The goal of the partnership agreement is to further expand upon previous collaboration.

The beginnings of a success story
Bernd Krebs, founder and owner of toolcraft, has had ties to Indonesia since 1997. The sale of two used milling machines resulted in close contact with three individuals from Indonesia, who decided to found their own company in 1999. This marked the beginning of cooperation between the Middle Franconian company and YPTI, whereby the Indonesian company received both financial support and staff from Germany. Regular visits to company facilities in Georgensgmünd and Spalt have taken place ever since, which has ensured the continuous training and education of a specialist workforce from Indonesia.

YPTI – a company modelled on Middle Franconia

Much like the German mid-sized company, the establishment of YPTI started out in a garage. In addition, the customer base was also modelled on the family-run business by focusing on multiple industries and customers. An intensive employee exchange programme developed over the years. With the founding of Toolcraft Wohlrab Technologies in Batam, the Indonesian company was now able to repay the start-up finance it received. This joint venture between the two companies, toolcraft and Wohlrab, serves to provide the Asian market with injection-moulded parts.

Expanding upon intensive cooperation

toolcraft gives support in technical matters, ensures the provision of spare parts and provides consultation in business matters. In order to make the intensive cooperation official, an additional company, PMA Toolcraft YPTI Technologies, has now been founded. The goal is to strengthen cooperation ties, especially in the areas of robotics and mould making. Further aspects of collaboration include training local skilled workers on site and in Germany, as well as building up contacts with educational institutions.

A mutually beneficial partnership

Because Indonesia wants to build its own airplanes in the future, the country needs qualified suppliers. toolcraft possesses all necessary authorisations as well as the knowledge to produce precision parts for aviation. The company can assist YPTI in training and certifying its skilled workforce in Indonesia and in receiving the required authorisations. It can also provide guidance as far as expanding the plant's machinery. The partnership will help the business relationships between Germany and Indonesia to be further developed and expanded in the area of aviation in particular, allowing for structured growth and job creation in both Indonesia and Germany.
