Hot Mirrors transmittieren sichtbares Licht und verhindern das Eindringen von Wärme ins System. Gewöhnliche Hot Mirrors relflektieren umso schlechter, je weiter man in den infraroten Wellenlängenbereich vordringt.

LASER COMPONENTS stellt die ITO-beschichteten Filter von Omega Optical vor, die mit dem Materialsystem ITO eine drastische Verbesserung im IR erzielen. Indiumoxid, In2O3, und Zinnoxid, SnO werden dabei im wechselnden Mischungsverhältnis gesputtert.

Diese Kombination bietet eine hohe Transmission im VIS, eine Reflexion >80% bis ins langwellige IR und eine gute elektrische Leitfähigkeit.

ITO-Beschichtungen können für Displays und Touchscreens eingesetzt werden. Auch zum EMV-Schutz optoelektronischer Bauteile kann dieses Coating verwendet werden.
