Laserspiegel können reproduzierbar mit Laserzerstörwellen mit mehr als 70 J/cm2 bei 1064 nm und 20 ns realisiert werden.
Die Beschichtungen können sowohl auf sphärischen als auch planen Substraten aufgetragen werden. ATFilms verwendet ausschließlich IBS Beschichtungen, da diese wesentlich dichter, dauerhafter und robuster als herkömmliche Elektronenstrahl-oder ionengestützte Dampf-Beschichtungen sind.
Ein weiterer Vorteil sind die geringeren Streu-und Absorptionsverluste sowie geringere Pinhole Mängel in der beschichteten Oberfläche.
Aufgrund dieser Fertigungstechnik können auch komplette Kavitäten zur Laserstabilisierung für z.B. Atomuhren angeboten werden.
