This new regional organization will enable Ingram Micro EMEA to remain agile and responsive to the opportunities that will reshape the IT distribution industry in the years to come. "The consolidation of fourteen countries into four separate business units creates a simpler, streamlined structure while promoting a greater level of collaboration within and between business units. It will enable us to create a consistent level of operational excellence - including a best-in-class cost structure - that will make us a stronger competitor in the marketplace," states Jay Forbes, EVP & President Ingram Micro EMEA.
The introduction of this new organization structure will mean an expansion of roles and new responsibilities for many of our leaders throughout the Region:
In the South West business unit, Dominique Deklerck will assume the leadership role at Ingram Micro Italy and Steve Meynen will lead Ingram Micro Belgium.
Christian Bittebierre will lead a combined France and Nordics business unit, with two of his colleagues - Pierre Yvon Mechali and Etienne Choquet - becoming Deputy Managing Directors at IM France. Magnus Högvall will continue to lead the Nordic operations (Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark) and will report directly to Christian.
Gerhard Schulz will take the lead of the Central & Eastern Europe business unit in addition to his role as Executive MD for Germany. Florian Wallner, currently Chief Financial Officer of IM Austria, will serve as interim acting Country Manager for Ingram Micro Austria.
