Ingenico Payment Services ermöglicht Bezahlen mit Apple Pay in Deutschland

Bestehende Ingenico-Terminals sind Apple Pay geeignet / Durch Nutzung bekannter NFC-Technologie keine neue Software erforderlich / Ab 2015 neben Visa-payWave- auch MasterCard-Kreditkarten akzeptiert

- Händler mit Ingenico-Terminals können Kunden aus den USA bereits jetzt deutschlandweit Zahlungen via Apple Pay anbieten. Offiziell startet Apple Pay zunächst nur in den USA.

Das neue Bezahlverfahren Apple Pay sorgt seit der Präsentation des iPhone 6 und der Apple Watch in der Payment-Branche für Gesprächsstoff. Seit Oktober steht die neue Methode Apple-Kunden in den USA zur Verfügung. Mit ihrem iPhone 6 oder 6 Plus können sie mittels der kontaktlosen NFC-Technologie (Near Field Communication) an entsprechenden Terminals bezahlen. Auch in Deutschland können Händler mit den Bezahlterminals von Ingenico diese Zahlungsoption nun Kunden aus den USA anbieten - und zwar ohne Nachrüstung der Terminals.

Apple-Pay-Transaktionen können schon heute über alle gängigen Terminals mit integriertem NFC-Reader von Ingenico und VeriFone abgewickelt werden, die am Ingenico-Netzbetrieb arbeiten. Das Terminal oder das Kassensystem benötigen dazu keine neue Software. Aktuell erlaubt die Software dieser Bezahlterminals Apple-Pay-Zahlungen, für die Visa-payWave-Kreditkarten hinterlegt sind. Anfang 2015 wird ein Software-Update zusätzlich MasterCard-Zahlungen mit Apple Pay ermöglichen.
