Karibisches Dreieck USA Mexiko Kuba

Spielräume von Politik und Wirtschaft in Mittelamerika

Wir stehen am Beginn einer neuen Ära im Dreieck am Golf von Mexiko: USA und Kuba starten eine Annäherung. Mexiko spielte während langer Jahre eine besondere Rolle in der Kommunikation zu den USA und steht über NAFTA in wirtschaftlich enger Verbindung zu den USA und Kanada. Diese Konstellation gerät nun in Bewegung.

Grund genug, die verschiedenen Zukunfts-Szenarien und die Chancen der deutschen Wirtschaft im Karibischen Dreieck mit Experten zu diskutieren. Hierzu lädt die IHK Saarland gemeinsam mit der Deutsch-Mexikanischen Gesellschaft im Saarland und dem Deutsch-Amerikanischen Institut Saarbrücken ein.

Nach zwei Impulsreferaten zu den Beziehungen der USA zu Lateinamerika und den Perspektiven zur künftigen Entwicklung und die Chancen für Exporteure Deutschlands und Europas in Lateinamerika folgt eine Podiumsdiskussion. Diese bietet ebenso wie ein anschließender Imbiss Gelegenheit zum Austausch mit den Diskussionsteilnehmern und den übrigen Gästen. und wird moderiert von SZ-Redakteur Lothar Warscheid.
