Along with the company’s financial recovery, the IMO Group succeeded in gaining an equity investor at the end of the fiscal year on June 30, 2016. CMP Capital Management-Partners, headquartered in Berlin, agreed to join IMO as a minority shareholder resulting in near full repayment of debt, a significantly strengthened balance sheet, and a solid and healthy basis for the future.
IMO Group has been successful in securing and steadily expanding its high technological standing. Thanks to superior quality standards, longevity and reliability of IMO products in many different and demanding applications, the company has been one of the world’s leading suppliers of slewing rings and slew drives for years.

CMP Capital Management-Partners GmbH (CMP) was founded in Berlin in 2000 and concluded 18 investments in medium-sized enterprises in German speaking countries since then. Besides the provision of capital CMP examines for every equity investment the possibility of operational support of the company through its own rewards and contributes with its knowledge, if required.

The IMO Group was founded 1988 and has more than 25 years experience in designing, manufacturing and supplying Slewing Rings and self-contained Slew Drives. The company is headquartered near Nuremberg in Gremsdorf, Germany. Currently worldwide more than 550 employees work for IMO.
IMO ball- and roller Slewing Rings are designed, manufactured and distributed worldwide in diameters ranging from 100 mm to 6,000 mm in a wide variety. They are used for various applications, including construction machinery, tunnelling & mining, ship building, conveyor & transportation systems and medical technology. Additionally, IMO is a leading supplier of blade, yaw and main bearings for on- and offshore wind turbines, and even provides blade bearings for a tidal stream system.
IMO Slew Drives consist of a ball or roller Slewing Ring, a drive train, and a completely enclosed and sealed housing. They are used for steering equipment such as gantry cranes and heavy-duty transporters, manlift platforms, turntables, agriculture & forestry and many more.
