In einem Programmpunkt wird Weber sich am Donnerstag, 10. November, 10.45 bis 12 Uhr, mit dem Thema „What if public development aid programmes and the private sector work together? And how it can be done!” im Rahmen eines Workshops beschäftigen. Als Experten sind Vertreter der internationalen Institutionen der sequa, des Senior Expert Service SES, Don Bosco Mondo, der Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GIZ und und von Germany Trade and Investment gtai an der Diskussion zur Förderung der wirtschaftlichen Aktivitäten beteiligt. Weber: „Öffentliche Mittel und Programme sind eine wichtige Unterstützung für Investitionen von Unternehmen in Entwicklungs- und Schwellenländern. Sie können Unternehmen als Anschubfinanzierung Hilfestellung bieten und vor allem als Netzwerkpartner wichtig sein.“
Mit der Entsendung von EZ-Scouts stellt das Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ) deutschen Unternehmen fachkundige Berater mit entwicklungspolitischem Know-how zur Verfügung.
