The advantage: when installed, the Han® HPR panel feed through housings are sealed on both sides. This means that the requirements of IP66 and IP68 (IEC 60529) are fulfilled both from the cable side and from the device side. No condensation from the device side can reach the contacts and may cause corrosion or even a short circuit. In addition, Han® HPR panel feed through housings are ideally suited for fire protection applications in rail vehicles that demand reliable sealing against fire and smoke in both directions, as with fire barriers. Additional advantages arise in the handling, as the option of factory pre-assembly of the cable sets saves time and money.
