New Software Version for Calculating Transmission Systems
GWJ Technology, a manufacturer of calculation software for machine elements, recently announced an update to its system calculation for gearboxes
The new version supports the efficiency of cylindrical gears. Furthermore, the Campbell diagram is calculated to present the system eigenfrequencies for the selected load element of a load spectrum. The calculation of the eigenfrequencies with harmonic response is also possible. Imbalances and periodic loads as well as small dampings may also be taken into account. The gyroscopic effect is considered in the extended calculation of rolling bearings with inner geometry. The powerful parameter variation is a helpful tool to visualize the influence of certain parameters on the results. As input for the calculation, additional rules can now be specified and in the result graphics a second axis was added. Numerous new features come along with the new version including a function for changing the unit in tables, saving the selected unit of measure, graphical display of the relative displacement for cylindrical gears, sort of shafts and groups, new selection and input dialog for rolling bearings, shifting of force elements and bearings with Ctrl key and mouse click.
