Much bio-heat energy from the GILLES-Box: Large biomass facilities in the container!

(PresseBox) (Gmunden, )
The innovation enterprise dealing with biomass usage - the Austrian company GILLES is starting to go ahead with the innovative usage of pellets and wood chips heating facilities. Apart from the Vienna's largest 900 kW container pellets heating system, another wood chips heating boiler (HPKI-K 450 - energy power of 450 kW) is going to be installed in the Langenburg castle. Naturally, a number of another small and medium enterprises bet on the heat energy provided by "GILLES-Box" launching thus a blow against the environment unfriendly fuels such as oil and gas, as well as against the rather high fuels costs, merely by using a single new adapted concrete box.

"The advantages and grounds for the enormous popularity of this box-type solution are well evident", explained Mr. Walter Eckert from GILLES company in one of his technical lecture during the Interpellets trade show in Stuttgart, "negligible requirements on place, simple calculation of building costs, the project quick realisation and last but not least, the well-tried highly efficient GILLES heating technology became the decisive factor both for enterprises and housing construction companies ". Especially when there are no cellarages to disposal, or in case of a supplementary building-in, the container biomass heating facilities enjoy increasing popularity.

Printcom in Vienna - one of the largest printing companies in the so-called town of waltz - is paying a particular attention to purposeful and careful usage of resources. Therefore, the enterprise replaced the oil by pellets. The HPKI-K of 900kW was delivered together with 2 containers. On the area taking less than 3 parking places surface, the GILLES-boxes are placed one over another. The pellets storage is situated upward, beneath it there is the power box containing the pellets heating boiler and control unit. Due to passing from the heating oil to biomass, the world-known printing company is expecting the decrease of heating costs and especially the significant reduction of the environmentally-harmful CO2 emissions. Thus the environment will be spared 2.150.000 kg of carbon dioxide each one year.

Beside the above mentioned equipment, being the largest pellets container heating facility installed in Vienna, this well known company using the biomass energy is delivering the biggest pellets boiler for a district heating system in Remscheid (Germany). The new effective heating boiler GILLES HPKI-K 2000 is able to deliver 2 MW energy output for heating 60.000 m2 of dwelling and industrial areas. It means that this system will supply 590 housing units, 52 private flats, 17 private houses and 9 industrial units with the heat energy.
