eyevis' highlights at IBC 2016

LED walls, slim rear-projection cubes, Quad-Full-HD LCD and transparent OLEDs

(PresseBox) (Reutlingen, )
In September, the International Broadcast Convention ICD invites all broadcast professionals to Amsterdam to learn about the latest developments in the industry. For eyevis this gigantic trade fair with more than 55,000 visitors has long become one of the constants of the year, seeing how the usage of high-quality video display technology is continuously rising, not only in control rooms, but also as supplementation for studio equipment. This is what makes eyevis’ appearance at IBC so exciting!

At booth 11.B40, eyevis presents a comprehensive portfolio of video display solutions. Thanks to the high quality and the extraordinary colour homogeneity, all components are ideal candidates for the use in broadcast. Furthermore, many of the components can be delivered in a unique broadcast version, which allows for the precise adjustment of the colour temperature of the image display to the required specifications of TV studios or offers suitable broadcast-typical signal inputs. Thereby eyevis‘ video display solutions lend themselves for the application in control rooms as well as in TV studios.
The most important innovations at the eyevis stand comprise the ePANEL series of LED modules, the brand-new TRP rear projection cubes, a supplementation to the 4K product range as well as the transparent OLED display.

ePANEL LED walls with minimal pixel pitch for Full-HD and 4K solutions

The bezel-free LED wall, comprised of modules of the new ePANEL-product family „powered by Unilumin“,excels in terms of the perfect homogeneity of the single modules, which is achieved through a pre-selection of high-quality LEDs and factory calibration. The ePANELS will be presented at the IBC stand in the finest pixel pitch version of 0.9 mm as a 4K video wall. The consequent high resolution, 10-bit colour depth and scalability allow for the setup of high-resolution video walls in TV studios. Thanks to the modules’ 16:9 aspect ratio, common resolutions such as Full-HD or 4K are easy to implement.

Rear projection: super-slim or entry-level priced – eyevis

As the first supplier ever, eyevis has integrated Texas Instruments’ new controlling approach with TRP technology in its DMD unit and is now presenting the new TRP rear projection cubes to the world for the first time at an extraordinary favourable entry-level price. Their high energy efficiency also make them a truly ‘green’ power solution for video walls in TV studios and control rooms. At the fair stand, both version of the ecCUBE family are exhibited: the super-thin SLIM series with its comprehensive broadcast functions as well as the new TRP series.

4K produkt range supplemented with compact 50ʺ display

The compact 50ʺ EYE-LCD-5000-QHD display supplements the eyevis product range of 4K/Ultra-HD LCD monitors. The specialist for visualisation systems now supplies six models with Quad-Full-HD resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels, with screen diagonals ranging from the latest model’s 50" up to the largest display’s 98".

High contrast even in very bright ambient light, perfect colour rendering, a large viewing angle and razor-sharp images as well as very short reaction times make these displays a first choice for many application areas in control rooms as well as in the studio.

Transparent OLED displays for highly effective presentations

At first sight, they look like large glass surfaces, but eyevis‘ TOLEDs are in fact transparent OLED displays, whose high transparency allows for the combination of digital content with the physical objects behind them. The EYE-TOLED-5500-TIGF40, an optional touch version, additionally offers an interactive component thanks to state-of-the-art InGlass™ touch technology and 40 simultaneous touch points. InGlassTM produces a homogeneous glass surface without noticeable bezels as seen in IR systems and without a visible metal mesh as used in other touch systems. Thanks to the high resolution of touch recognition, writing remains detailed and easy to work with, even when using very fine input pens.

Suitable for all applications

The flexible omniSHAPES rear projection units with LED technology top off the portfolio for all interested parties in broadcast. Thanks to their numerous screen shapes, they introduce new creative possibilities of application in TV studios. Next to eyevis’ visual display solutions, the subsidiary Teracue eyevis GmbH will also showcase its hardware and software production for IPTV solutions and video networking

”At our fair stand, we will show our visitors, which technologies are most suitable for which application in their TV studios, control rooms, in post-production as well as in the field of digital signage,” comments Rainer Link, International Sales Director at eyevis. He continues: “In our comprehensive range of visual display technologies, there is a suitable solution for all applications!”
