The global commercial drone community gathered together in December 11th to 12th to kick off the annual International Drone Expo (IDE) and Business Conference organized by E.J.Krause & Associates, Inc.. For two days, the sound of buzzing filled the air as the unmanned aerial vehicles of all shapes and sizes invaded the Los Angeles Convention Center.
IDE set the stage for the ever expanding world of drones. As one of the fastest growing consumer industries, International Drone Expo 2015 had something for every type of commercial drone enthusiast. Over 100 companies displayed their latest and greatest in drone innovation and aerial robotic technology. Industry leaders such as DJI, Aerial Media Pros, Multicopter Warehouse, Flir, Yuneek and many more presented themselves on the exhibit space, which tripled the size to 35.000 gross square feet. In addition to the substantial growth on the exhibit side, IDE 2015 saw a leap in attendance and increase of visitor numbers of 30 %. Attendees experienced firsthand cutting edge drone innovation. They also had the opportunity to meet the influencers and creators of today´s hottest technology movement.
The two-day expo was also accompanied by a high level business conference focused on how drone technology can help facilitate business and improve bottom line performance. “IDE is a great combination of US based and international drone professionals operating in all levels of the industry; bringing valuable insight and collaborative opportunities for all attendees.” said Adam Bailey, Vice-Chairman of ARPAS UK. The conference attracted the leading experts in the drone industry, with more than 70 speakers that ranged from million dollar crowd funding companies to industry leaders and creatives. „It was both very instructive as well as a great pleasure for me to exchange experiences, opinions and views with representatives of various other associations for Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems at the conference. At the fair, I was impressed by the volume of the unmanned aviation market and the speed with which it is developing; many manufacturers and operators participated in the International Drone Expo. I was pleased we could share some of our experience in contributing to safe integration of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems.” stated Hans de Jong, Senior Consultant for Safety Management at Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH, representing UAV DACH, the German-speaking Association for Unmanned Aviation, at IDE 2015.
