DASCOM is the first dot matrix printer manufacturer to join the Cortado Cloud Printing Alliance

Thanks to this cooperation, DASCOM customers in logistics, warehousing or production can print using their mobile devices from the cloud

(PresseBox) (Ulm, )
DASCOM, one of the world's leading experts in dot matrix printers, is the latest member to join the Cortado Cloud Printing Alliance, which twelve renowned printer manufacturers are already part of. The goal of the alliance is to allow mobile printing for any content, any device and any location. In the first stage the mobile dot matrix printer MIP480 has also been made "Cloud-printing ready", in addition to high-end dot matrix printers.

Despite increasing networking, paper print-outs are remaining unavoidable even today. The process that began with the mobile workplace has now also been transferred to the back-office. More and more workplaces in logistics and production are becoming mobile. Whereas PCs were mainly used before, now they have been supplemented by mobile devices like handhelds or smartphones. Modern process methods like pick-by-voice and mobile workplaces are supporting this trend. Contrary to laser and ink-jet printers in offices, a lot is required of the printers used here - high humidity, large temperature fluctuations as well as dust and dirt place extreme demands on these devices. Here the dot matrix printers of DASCOM are in their element.

Due to the long-term experience in these segments these special demands are taken into account in the development of the printers. Robustness, reliability and easy operation are not just paid lip-service at DASCOM, but are the measure by which solutions are measured. Further benefits of this technology: In addition to the capability of simultaneously stocking different types of paper such as continuous paper and individual sheets, environmental awareness is also very distinct here. No fine dust emissions, low power consumption and a long-life print ribbon cartridge ensure a low CO2 footprint.

"By joining this alliance we have created the ideal prerequisites to improve mobile workplaces in logistics, warehouse or production and to therefore make the work of our customers more efficient and easier", says the Marketing Manager Michael Ried. "Thanks to Cortado, a cloud printer has been set up quickly."

"We are pleased that with DASCOM as a new partner our powerful cloud printing solutions can now also be offered to companies with very specific printing demands", says Frank Hoffmann, Director of Strategic Relationships. "All of these companies now have the chance to benefit from the interaction of our unique solution and the certified DASCOM printers."

From now the following DASCOM printers are "Cloud-printing ready": The dot matrix printers Tally Dascom 2600, Tally Dascom 2610, Tally T2150, Tally T2250, Tally T2265+, Tally T2280+, Tally T2365 and Tally T2380 as well as the mobile printer Tally MIP480.

Cortado Workplace, the cloud printing solution of the alliance founded by Cortado, is available as a free application in the App stores for iOS, Android and Blackberry and can also be used free-of-charge on PC and Mac using the HTML5 Client. Furthermore, all "Cloud-printing ready" Tally printers can also be used with the Enterprise Solution Cortado Corporate Server.
