cloudControl, Inc., the US subsidiary of the Berlin, Germany headquartered PaaS pioneer cloudControl GmbH, today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Docker's dotCloud PaaS business for an undisclosed amount. dotCloud PaaS launched in 2011 as one of the first multi-language platforms and has since grown into one of the leading US-based PaaS providers. The acquisition positions cloudControl to expand its leading EU-centric public PaaS business to the important US market.
Since its Series A investment in July 2011, Creathor Venture has been cloudControl's lead investor and worked intensively with cloudControl's management in developing the company's strategy and scaling internationally.
