MATS 2014: ContiTech Presents Innovations for the Truck Industry

(PresseBox) (Hannover, )
.
- 2014High-quality air springs as original equipment and for the replacement market
- Locally produced lines for the NAFTA market
- Engine mounts and intermediate propeller shaft bearings for improved riding comfort

At the Mid-America Trucking Show from March 27 to 29, 2014, in Louisville, Kentucky, ContiTech Air Spring Systems, ContiTech Fluid Technology, and ContiTech Vibration Control will present their latest range of products. At booth 18217, they are displaying air suspension systems, lines for all truck media flows, and engine mounts for heavy-duty commercial vehicles.

ContiTech Air Spring Systems presents high-quality air suspension for original equipment and the replacement market in the USA. These systems are ideal for use in trucks, trailers, and buses. Sleeve-type rolling-lobe air springs counteract vibration in the driver's cab and seats, reducing stress on the driver while simultaneously increasing comfort and safety. OEM customers benefit from the proximity of air spring production in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, making for short transport routes to customers on the American continent and thus prompt availability.

For the replacement market, ContiTech Air Spring Systems offers air springs first developed for originally equipment. These springs are guaranteed to meet the highest quality standards demanded by vehicle manufacturers. A new feature for customers in the USA is that the ContiTech Web app is now available in Spanish, too. With this mobile service, users can conveniently find the right air springs on their smartphones. Only air springs that ContiTech offers on the NAFTA replacement market are displayed.

High-temperature oil hoses for turbochargers

For turbochargers, ContiTech Fluid Technology has developed a new generation of high-temperature oil hoses capable of handling temperatures right up into the 250°C range. The design of these hoses offers numerous advantages over conventional Teflon corrugated tubing and flat hoses. In addition to being considerably more flexible and therefore allowing for narrow bending radii, they are also lighter - thus offering additional weight savings. Temperature resistance is ensured by means of a braid jacket made from highly temperature- and chemical-resistant plastic. It encases the inner lining, made from FKM rubber, and boasts high extensibility.

Alongside these innovations, ContiTech Fluid Technology will display the latest generation of heatable hose line modules for SCR exhaust treatment. These are manufactured for the North American market in Mexico, where ContiTech produces all its lines for the NAFTA truck sector. The spectrum runs from high-temperature oil hoses and fuel supply lines through to optimized air-conditioning systems.
