Connected with the Future of Mobility: IAA Careers Week Brings Experts and Prospects Together

(PresseBox) (Hanover, Germany, )
.
  • Concept offers tailor-made information for prospects and (potential) employees
  • Top managers present state-of-the-art innovations and company trends
  • Careers talk with external experts and company representatives
Five days, five topics – as a top employer, Continental connects prospects and potential employees with the world of future mobility. Its distinguishing feature is to have zero accidents on our roads and clean air through reduced fuel consumption and lower emissions. In addition, there will be greater convenience, better information, entertainment, and driving fun thanks to intelligent, interconnected systems. These and other top topics will be presented every day by executive board members, management personnel and recognized external experts as part of Careers Week at IAA 2015 in Frankfurt, at its booth (Hall 5.1, booth A08) between September 21 and 25. Of course, this also involves entry and career opportunities at Continental. Up to 80 visitors can go on a daily journey with the technology company to a not-so-distant future and join in discussions.

“As a top employer, we are working on the crucial topics for tomorrow's mobility. Anyone wanting to get involved with this topic is in the right place with us. Our employees can save lives by making our "zero accidents" vision a reality. And by implementing the vision of lower emissions, they are contributing to cleaner air worldwide,” explains Dr. Ariane Reinhart, Continental’s executive board member for HR. “During Careers Week, we present ourselves as an innovative company with a unique corporate culture – focused on target groups, approachable, and with an exciting setup."

Continental’s Careers Week is aimed not just at potential applicants, which includes specialists, graduates and students, but at our own staff as well. On Monday, September 21, the week begins with a topic day based on the importance of software and digitization – important future areas for Continental, its customers, and car drivers who want to travel in a safe, clean, and convenient way. Other topic days are about the future of the world of work, the issue "Do we want a human being, or just an operative?," strategic HR development within the company, or the corporate culture and Continental's values.

The program is supplemented by interactive offerings at the booth, such as Q&As, discussion groups, and training sessions on “Online Profile Analysis," "Business Etiquette," or "Intercultural Training." In addition, those interested have the opportunity to talk to specialist staff and HR staff from Continental. Careers Week is completed by guided tours, competitions, and a photo box.

The detailed program for Continental's Careers Week at the IAA can be found on the Internet at www.continental-karriere.de. Further information on the rest of Continental’s program at the IAA may also be found on the Internet at www.continental-iaa.com.
