security.manager ArcGIS Edition at the Esri User Conference

Fine-Grained Access Control for ArcGIS for Server

(PresseBox) (San Diego, )
In ArcGIS for Server use cases, where more fine-grained authorization is needed, con terra security.manager – ArcGIS Edition extends access control capabilities down to layer-, object-, and spatial level.

During the Esri User Conference in San Diego, the world's largest user conference for geographic information systems, con terra will showcase the product as part of the session "Extending ArcGIS for Server with SOEs and SOIs" on June 30th, 1:30pm, room 33A. Also interested persons are invited to visit our booth 1925 during the exhibition hours.

This special edition of the security.manager is optimized to run completely inside ArcGIS for Server as a "Server Object Interceptor", which makes it easy to deploy, operate and maintain. It delivers fine grained access control functionalities that extend the native ArcGIS Server security capabilities:
  • Spatial authorization - define access certain spatial areas only
  • Feature authorization - define access to individual features based on query definitions
  • Layer and table authorization - define access to layers and tables
The edition supports ArcGIS for Server standalone and Portal federation deployments and will use the existing identity management setup.

A new web based rights management site ties directly into ArcGIS for Server Manager and as such providing a seamless user experience. No new-to-learn tools for administrators, just additional capabilities.
