New: Energy-efficient semiconductor solutions from Computer Controls

(PresseBox) (Otelfingen, )
Computer Controls, the Swiss specialist electronics distributor, continues to expand its product portfolio, and now offers a broad range of analog and digital/analog semiconductor solutions for the automotive, industrial, medical, IT, and consumer applications. The new partner is ZMDI – “Zentrum Mikroelektronik Dresden AG”, which began in 1961, is globally headquartered in Dresden Germany. ZMDI boasts a global presence as a leader in semiconductor design technology in particular in the areas of sensing and power management.

The compact elements for energy-efficient circuits focus on numerous applications throughout the industry, but are also suitable for modern vehicle technology. In the latter case they can be applied to, for example, battery management, emissions monitoring, air conditioning control or security-related systems. The key to these intelligent solutions is that they require less power consumption without compromising their performance levels. Power consumption in the IT industry, for example, increases annually by 15 – 20%, requiring clever solutions for data centers, base stations, telecom switching centers or smartphones that do their share to curb this enormous consumption by needing less power.

Manufacturers of the so-called white goods can use these components to develop energy-efficient controls and sensors for tumble dryers, washing machines or dishwashers. Medical technology also benefits from this offer as the components are applied in blood pressure and blood sugar measurement devices, hearing aids and much more.

In the lighting technology field Computer Controls and ZMDI now offer intelligent “LED Driver IC’s” to realize energy saving and thus cost effective lighting for industrial and domestic environments. Here low voltage high-brightness LED’s provide the required functionality.
With the products of this new partner supplier Computer Controls offers the industry another opportunity to develop energy-efficient circuits and sensors to further reduce CO2 emissions, and to push for lower fuel and power consumption. By choosing this partner Computer Controls again reinforces its corporate dedication to being a competent and environmentally aware full-service provider. ZMDI has received numerous awards globally for their products and the contributions achieved in the areas energy efficiency, innovation and sustainability.
