Nach eigenen Angaben teilt jeder fünfte Smartphone-Nutzer (20 Prozent) seine Fotos „häufig“ und jeder Siebte (15 Prozent) „hin und wieder“ auf den Online-Plattformen. Etwa jeder Vierte (28 Prozent) lädt Handy-Schnappschüsse immerhin „selten“ hoch. Vor allem für die Jüngeren ist das sogenannte „Foto-Sharing“ Normalität: 85 Prozent der 14- bis 29-jährigen Smartphone-Nutzer stellen Bilder in Soziale Netzwerke. Insgesamt verwenden heute bereits 65 Prozent der Bundesbürger ab 14 Jahren ein Smartphone.
Am morgigen 6. Oktober wird die Facebook-Tochter Instagram fünf Jahre alt. Heute nutzen nach eigenen Angaben des Unternehmens weltweit über 400 Millionen Menschen den Online-Dienst zum Teilen von Fotos oder Videos und laden dort pro Tag durchschnittlich 80 Millionen Bilder hoch. Neben dem Teilen eigener Aufnahmen können Nutzer auf Instagram anderen Nutzern folgen, deren Bilder und Videos kommentieren oder bei Gefallen mit einem „Like“ versehen.
Hinweis zur Methodik: Grundlage der Angaben ist eine Umfrage, die Bitkom Research im Auftrag des Digitalverbands Bitkom durchgeführt hat. Dabei wurden 1.014 Bundesbürger ab 14 Jahren befragt, darunter 661 Smartphone-Nutzer. Die Umfrage ist repräsentativ. Die Fragestellung lautete: „Nutzen Sie Ihr Smartphone zum Fotografieren?“
