BBB’s first participation in BRAZIL WINDPOWER

German Engineering Experts take a leap over the Big Pond

(PresseBox) (Gelsenkirchen, )
“During the last years we had constantly kept a watchful eye on the development of the Brazilian market and had often visited BRAZIL WINDPOWER. Now the time has come to finally participate in the fair with our own booth,” says Klaus Bergmann, one of the three managing directors of the engineering consultancy BBB Umwelttechnik GmbH (BBB). After having accomplished a number of assignments from new customers, acquired with the help of BBB’s contract partner Afonso Pacheco, the company now wants to solidify its market position. Attending the leading wind fair of the continent (booth no. 52) is just a first step in this enterprise.

The exceedingly positive perspectives for the Brazilian wind energy market and the successfully completed orders covering the preparation of wind yield reports, turbulence analysis, layout optimizations and a technical due diligence conducted on a local project have lead to the decision to open up a BBB branch in Brazil soon: “We realize that our expert knowledge and our service products are accepted on the local market - this is a solid basis to build on,” exclaims Bergmann, who also has family relations to the host country of the Football World Cup and the Olympics.

Besides that, BBB is already cooperating with the University of São Paulo in building up a research site for remote sensing systems, namely LiDAR and Sodar wind measurement systems. Here, the knowledge about the innovative technology and its best-practice handling will be transferred from the “old” wind energy market Germany to Brazil. This project is part of the Renewable Energy Solutions program promoted by the German energy agency (DENA) and subsidised by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.
