Der Agile Day befasst sich mit Agiler Skalierung, dem Dauerbrenner „Testing“, mit Agilen Teams, Architektur, Innovation bzw. Enterprise Agile und dem vielfältigen „Blick über den Tellerrand“. Keynote-Speaker beim Agile Day sind Gunther Verheyen („The future present of Scrum (Are we done yet?)) und James Coplien, der beschreibt “How Agile and OO have lost their way together”.
Jim „Cope“ Coplien nutzt seinen Aufenthalt in Karlsruhe auch, um am Tutorial Day den Workshop „Scrum Patterns“ anzubieten. Die Praxissession soll den Teilnehmenden vermitteln, wie sie organisatorische Pattern einsetzen können, um Probleme bei Scrum Teams zu diagnostizieren und zu lösen. Ein weiteres Angebot am Tutorial Day ist beispielsweise der Workshop zu AngularJS Teststrategien für Fortgeschrittene.
Der VKSI, die Java User Group Karlsruhe, die KA IT-Si, die DNUG Karlsruhe und die Softwerkskammer organisieren beim Karlsruher Entwicklertag eigene Tracks. Veranstaltet wird der Karlsruher Entwicklertag 2016 vom VKSI, der Regionalgruppe Karlsruhe der Gesellschaft für Informatik und dem ObjektForum. Organisatoren sind der Technologiepark Karlsruhe und die andrena objects ag.
Die Konferenz für Software Engineering unter dem übergeordneten Motto „Agilität, Qualität, Innovation“ findet in Karlsruhe seit 2005 statt. Die ursprüngliche Grassroot-Veranstaltung erstreckt sich mittlerweile über drei Tage und hat sich zu einer Art Marke in der IT-Region Karlsruhe entwickelt.
