Windows und Linux Migration unattended möglich

Die neue Version 3.0 der unattended Lösung SoftService Installer (SSI) bietet nun auch die Verteilung von Linux Systemen an. Unterstützt wird die Linux Variante von Suse ab Version 9.0. RedHat Unterstützung ist angekündigt. Interessant für kostenorientierte Administratoren: für jeden Client wird nur eine Lizenz benötigt, auch wenn sowohl eine Windows als auch eine Linux Konfiguration dafür bereitgehalten wird. Das ist insbesondere für die Unternehmen von Vorteil, die gerade den möglichen Einsatz von Linux testen.

Konzipiert aus der Praxis für die Praxis stellt SSI den Administratoren und HelpDesk Mitarbeitern für Migration und Neuinstallation eine intuitiv und leicht zu bedienende Benutzeroberfläche zur Verfügung, basierend auf der Unattended-Technologie von Microsoft.

Zu den SSI-Kunden gehören Unternehmen wie ARAG, WestLB, Bausparkasse Schwäbisch Hall, T-Systems oder das Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Arbeit.
