Matrox Imaging releases intuitive smart camera / software package for machine vision Matrox Iris-E - a powerful smart-camera / software package (pressebox) München, 08.08.2007 - Matrox Imaging is pleased to announce the Matrox Iris E-Series with Design Assistant, a powerful smart camera/software package. "The Matrox E-Series with Design Assistant allows OEMs and systems integrators to develop vision and imaging applications without programming," says Fabio Perelli, Product Manager, Matrox Imaging. "The launch of Matrox Design Assistant marks a new era in the delivery of our software products and will bring machine vision to a wider audience."
The Matrox Design Assistant interface
The Matrox Design Assistant interface draws on Matrox Imaging's two-decade history of imaging software experience. In the Matrox Design Assistant environment, users create a flow chart of the application that instructs the Matrox Iris E-Series camera to grab, process and display, perform measurements, analyze image data, read machine codes, and more. The intuitive nature of the Matrox Iris E-Series with Design Assistant eliminates the need for programming and scripting. Users benefit from simplified application development that offers the same reliability and robustness as the field-proven Matrox Imaging Library. The development environment is fully self-contained for both application development and deployment, and the integrated HTML editor and layout tool gives users the flexibility to create a custom web-based operator view for monitoring the application.
About Matrox Iris E
The Matrox Iris E-Series is a family of smart cameras that support the flexibility of PC-based machine vision systems, and feature hardware for image sensing as well as software for image capture, processing, and analysis. Matrox Iris E-Series is powered by an Ultra Low Power (ULP) Celeron®, an embedded Intel® architecture processor, and runs the Windows® CE .NET real-time operating system. Available as a single body or remote head plus processor design, Matrox Iris E-Series smart cameras offer customers a number of options for camera resolution, sensor type, and speed.
