Screen celebrates 5000th Trueflow
Trueflow is an innovative workflow system encompassing pre-press and press processing as well as sophisticated digital print on demand functions. At a series of Open Days around Europe, Screen is partnering with its expert distributors to demonstrate the pre-press processing power and flexibility of the latest Trueflow SE Version 6.0.
At the Reprograf Open Day in Warsaw, President Jolanta Kurowiak (Reprograf S.A.) and Bruce Hilltout (Screen Europe) presented the 5000th Trueflow Award to Julia Muszkowska (Production Manager, Drukarnia Franczak). The company is one of the largest privately-owned printing houses in Bydgoszcz, Poland, and provides a full service for domestic and international customers. In prepress a Screen PlateRite 4300S platesetter driven by the latest version of Trueflow SE V6.0 images plates at the rate of 21pph for four offset and flexo presses. Products range from labels, calendars, and packaging to office accessories and stationery, advertising materials, and books.
As an advanced automated and streamlined workflow Trueflow SE just keeps on getting better. This version, fully equipped with the Adobe PDF Print Engine, handles standard file checking, imposition, trapping, OPI support and other prepress functions. It is designed both to drive optimised computer-to-plate (CtP) production and digital printing presses. It is a fully JDF-compliant PDF workflow which enables existing users to move easily from a PDF and PostScript workflow into a JDF-based environment and achieve seamless communication with MIS.
New features in the latest Trueflow SE Version 6.0 take the ultimate workflow a step further and include: improved support for PDF output; font embedding; outlining of linework; Sophisticated online digital page inspection; PDF Trapeditor to allow operators to check traps in Acrobat; and a Versioning feature for personalized documents. This can be used not only with multiple PDFs but also with PDFs composed of multiple layers. Multiple versions can be created at once, and the necessary materials can be selected and output.
