Propellerhead Announces Adam Fielding as the 2008 Bassline Battle Winner
In October, Reason users were invited to submit their grooviest basslines-an eight bar piece, using Reason Electric Bass, drums and percussion only. The Propellerhead community then had its word, selecting the ten baddest basslines from over 300 submissions. The winner was chosen from the ten finalists by a superstar artist panel of DJ Babu, Mocean Worker, Arabian Prince, Chaka Blackmon and Mix Master Mike. Adam Fielding's winning entry was a clear favorite-in both the user voting and panel selection.
Adam Fielding, a 20-something popular music production student from the UK, created the first-place lick and collects the Grand Prize package-a Novation ReMOTE 25SL COMPACT keyboard, Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 audio interface and KRK Rokit 5 G2 monitor speakers with a KRK10S subwoofer.
"I'm incredibly excited", says Adam Fielding. "gave my housemate and his girlfriend a bit of a scare after running through the house before getting properly dressed."
Fielding's winning Mad Bad Uber Funk and the top 100 submissions as selected by the Reason community are available for listening at the Propellerhead website: www.propellerheads.se/substance/bassline-battle/
